Happy Birthday Dearest One!

We met a few days before his 18th birthday. It was love at first sight. We've been together for every birthday since. He's the best thing that ever happened to me. I love you so, always have, always will. Happy happy birthday.

My First Visit

I avoid the mall at all costs, but when we had to go to the local mall (I think it's the second largest in the US) to purchase a washer, I threw all caution to the wind. Honey, follow me! We were the only people over fifty at the mall on a Saturday night, but it was raining outside and we needed our walk...or so I told my Husband. I always break out in a cold sweat at the thought of milling through a crowded space, but I was on a mission. Being the last blogger in blogland who hasn't been, we went to Anthropologie for the first time! I wondered what all the fuss was about, and now I know. The inventive displays, and unique products had me gawking. So creative. We were in and out in just a few minutes, and I spent just a few dollars. (We had just taxed the budget with the washer purchase!) Now I can say, "Yes, I've been to Anthropologie, and I plan to go back...on a Tuesday morning, in October, when all the kiddies are in school and all the hipsters are still sleeping." Enjoy this beautiful day.

The Missing Pitcher

Is it me, or are things still a little goofy...and here's my signature.

Rummage Sale Finds

Found some cool things at a rummage sale. Some things I bought individually, others came at the end of the sale in a bag. The small gravy boat with ladle was one of my "bag" finds. Also this vintage Nieman Marcus bag. I thought it might be valuable, but found one on ebay for 15.00 with a shoulder strap. (it's missing from my bag) Sorry honey, you still have to go to work today. The silver plate pitcher was my favorite find. I can't wait to fill it with some of my pink roses. It was a great sale and I bought so many things and spent the low low price of $10.50!

I am in the process of a redo on my laundry room, not because I wanted to, but because my Maytag washer bit the dust after almost 20 years! It was not the best time for it to go, but I'm taking this opportunity to paint and tile my tiny laundry room. You cannot believe all the stuff I had crammed into this small space. Well, when my new Maytag is delivered later this week, it will be into a refreshed and organized space...I hope.

This post was much more interesting before I lost it to the blogger problem I experienced all of Sunday and most of today. This was my first problem trying to post, and I have to admit, I got a little...cranky when I couldn't post or comment. Funny, in a short time I've really come to enjoy the whole process, and look forward to sharing little bits of my life. Enjoy this beautiful day.

Cupcake Favors

We had a production line going, packing 20 cupcakes for favors for my end of the year dinner for my dearest Guild sisters. I found the boxes at Big River Packing, and the label came from The Graphics Fairy, and I was able to customize it in Picasa. These women mean the world to me, each and everyone of them a special gift.
Making something special for them is so much fun, and it was sweet to have my honey help me out. Wish you could taste the peanut butter frosting. Enjoy this beautiful day
