8 Days of Thanksgiving

The cabinet is topped with stuff from every where...

A pretty vignette on Mom's desk with Dad's clock...

When I'm not moving furniture, I'm crocheting...using what I have. Some nice combinations come out of frugality.
I am so grateful for the legacy of creativity, passed down from my Grandmothers and my Mom. I wonder how many generations of women in our family sewed, crocheted, knitted for their families.

To all the women who came before me, I am grateful...

I love those globes on top of the cabinets and the wall color is so beautiful. I'd be very happy in that room. It's important for me to have some pieces from the past, as you do with your mom's desk and dad's clock. And, like you, I'm all about using what I have.

I never knew either of my biological grandmothers but I'm pretty sure that they were creative in some way. I often look at their photos and wonder what kind of women they were.

Thanks for the wonderful post.
