Weekend Update

After a week of traveling, my dear one was very happy to be home.  We spent our time close to home and actually made it to a rummage sale, twice! (We haven't been since the baby grand was born.) The pickings were so good we decided to go back for the bag sale the next day.  These are all the treasures I found the first day.  The thing about rummage sales is the pricing.  Some items are priced, most are not.  It depends on who is at the checkout...if you get bargains or not.  The dear lady manning the check out table priced every item at about .50!  Except the stopper and the necklace that were .25 each!  So for less than $5, I came home with some great stuff.  A cedar box, a flower book, a large jar, a odd tall canning jar,

2 yards of this embroidered fabric...

This oh so cool cone of yarn...

I've never seen a tall canning jar like this...

This book has the most beautiful photography, and the yellow sarong... I will use for a tablecloth. This is nothing compared with what I got the next day at the bag sale...I've gotta take some photos.

We celebrated Father's Day with a short trip to the flea market where my hubby spent more $$ than I did.  Yeah!!! (It's not a competition, but it was his day;-) Then a great dinner outside with the guys and my brother, SIL and beautiful great nieces.  Some face time with the family on the east coast capped a near perfect weekend for my sweetheart. Daddy Doug got the best present for his first Father's Day...a smile from baby Penny!

Today the heat is upon us, with temps in the 90's.  Plenty to keep me inside today. Hope you had a great weekend too.  More tomorrow with the BEST EVER $5 bag I ever picked...no embellishment here...Really! Enjoy this beautiful day...keep cool my friends!
