My Blog Anniversary

" The beauty of getting older is the surprise of what you can create with what you have learned."
Goldie Hawn

Today is not only my birthday, but I also consider it my blog anniversary.  Two years ago I did a brave thing and went to a Blog Event.  I was just turning 55 and wanted to do mark the occasion.  What I learned that day and the 2 years since has changed my life.  Not only the blogging itself, but how I go about my daily life.  I've always been observant, and appreciative of life, but this new way of chronicling it has opened my eyes to the extreme beauty of everyday.  I always wanted to journal, but never had the discipline to write everyday.  The words on paper never did what a blog post can do. The words with can be powerful, silly, beautiful, informative.  It's a  thing I do for myself, but I am so happy to share it with you.  I love when someone else enjoys it too.

So today, I share with you something I love...This song, Montana Half Light.  I've never been to Montana, but this song speaks to me.  If I had a soundtrack to my life, this song would be track #1.  Enjoy this beautiful day!

I'm with you (about blogging) and Goldie Hawn (about aging --I should look so good!) I'm glad you went to the blog event, too. Otherwise I never would have met you!

Happy, happy birthday Penny!

happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary to your blog. I'm so delighted you started to blog. Had it not been for that, we would not be dear friends as we are today.

Spend your day well! Hope it's shared with all your family!

hey penny--happy birthday, girl! you have such a wonderful blog--simple, tasteful and completely heartfelt. one true thing that you have managed to accomplish, beautifully, with your space, is to precisely convey your genuine persona through your written word and photos--it is obvious what a good woman you are, with a good family, to boot!! keep on posting!!
