The Great Fabric Sale & A Beach Party

Remember I told you about an awesome sale...I found an ad in the local paper...
Crafter, going out of business, fabric one dollar a yard!
Just one burb over, I had to check it out.
I was overwhelmed with what I found.
Bolt and bolts of beautiful fabrics.
I started a pile, one for my guild project,
and one for me.

The autumn print I will use as tablecloths come Thanksgiving,
a cute Christmas print for  pillowcases.

Speaking of pillowcases, for my girls, I don't do scary,
silly is just fine.

Cool music on ecru, a little pumpkin with the burnt orange perhaps...

Just love the cursive, just two yards, and yards and yards of the
great red heart print.  Throw in some utility muslin, and I had
$60 dollars spent. Half for me, half for Guild. We talked my friend and service project coordinator
Jean into coming to the sale the next day.  Jean and I bought enough to make 200 pillowcases
for our service project. What an amazing bargain, and the nicest people doing the selling.
We had our guys rolling bolts, folding fabric and carrying the loot to our cars.
We'll be talking about this sale for years to come.
Our small group has made over well over a thousand pillowcases
for children with cancer and other life threatening illnesses.

If any local girls are interested, the sale will be open again this weekend.
Drop me a note for info.

How to spend a Tuesday evening?  At a beach party!
The cloudy skies didn't damper the festivities.

Lot's of babies and families.

This little one reminded me of a certain girl from NY. Sigh...

All the kids were dancing and having a great time.

The band, lead by our dear friends, Ron and Sue, Peech's Beach Party.  A Jimmy Buffet cover band.
I sang along to the songs I knew, and enjoyed the music and Ron's voice.  He's been making me swoon since we were teens! Great seeing Sue and Ron anytime.

Thanks friends for stopping by.  Enjoy this beautiful day!

P.S. Anyone having problems editing in blogger? Once I save my draft it won't let me change a thing...
