Isn't it Romantic...

My dearest and I enjoyed a slice of pizza with our son before he was off to band practice.  It was the first time in over 30 years I didn't make a big Valentine's dinner.  Seemed a little silly to cook when my Husband had a big business lunch, and Mike was running out the door.  Still it was romantic...
 I got flowers...
 and more flowers...
and more flowers from the sweetest guys, my guys!
I spent the morning with my friend, Mary Ann.  This is what I came home with.  This generous friend is always making something for somebody...and this time it was for our baby grand to be.  She has a business that's called Grammy on the Go.  She can embroider anything!  She also made me the red cloth in the first photo, with a W and heart embroidered.  If you need a special baby gift, hostess gift or something personalized, she's the one to call. Mary Ann is the sweetest and most talented woman you'll ever met.  Next time I visit, I'll take some photos of her amazing quilts.

She didn't know I was using polka dots for the shower, it was just serendipity!  There are 3 burp cloths and a hooded towel for baby.

I am so fortunate to have the best friends in the world...including all my friends in blogging.  It has been two years since I started blogging, thanks to the great women I met at our first Northern Illinois bloggers event...  That's a story for another post!     Have a great day dear friends.

Penny ~ I do love love!! Your dinner looked very romantic! We did pasta and homemade sauce for the family, while our little Luna puppy found her way to my daughter's room and ate a whole bag of candy (giant milky way, gummy bears, and starburst, wrappers and all). Then she gave us the gift of chocolate flavored throw-up everywhere. Not my favorite valentine gift to be sure! LOL. Your flowers are so pretty!

Lucky you to have such romantic guys! Flowers are beautiful. My birthday is the day before V-day so we had a big dinner on Sunday for that. Then on V-day we had simple angel hair pasta. Worked for me. Glad you had a nice day, and love the baby gifts!

Those guys of yours appreciate and love you and know how to show it. Lovely flowers, "friend gift" and pinks and polka dots for the "baby grand." A wonderful day for a wonderful gal!
