Last week was awful! You might remember me shouting out to my son Jon and his sweetheart. Without going into the details, they were involved in TWO car accidents within a week .Neither of them their fault. They are shaken and hurting. With nothing good to say, I said nothing here. My heart hurts for these two sweet and loving kids. This explains my absence, as I was working out my anxiety by moving furniture and cleaning and a little crochet. They are amazing and love and support each other so beautifully during all of this. Makes me proud!
This is a photo showing the true colors of my shawl in progress. I need another week of the Olympics to finish. Too bad the closing ceremony was last night! ;-)
Last week...
This week...Not much progress, but some progress.
The roses, I hate to see them fade.
Some fabric I picked up at the thrift. That floral is screaming to be made into a bag of some sort. Since I am banned from sending sweet p. yet another blanket,( I admit, I have gone overboard) I will find a needy baby to crochet an edge on this too cute fleece.
I hope they dry and keep their beautiful color.
Here's to a better week ahead.
Thank you for dropping by and for all your kind comments.
Enjoy this beautiful day!

This is terrible! Two accidents in one week?! Was the weather part of the reason? I was in a panic whenever hubby or the kids had to drive in it. Sometimes I'd rather have the freezing cold.
I like the fabric, the one is going to make a charming pillow. I went to a thrift store Saturday and was sorely disappointed. I think I am going to stick with antique shops and garage sales.
I hope this week is better for you.
XO,
Jane
Sorry you had a bad week. Jon and Charlotte have had a bad streak. Hope the are on the mend and accident free this week! Thinking of you my friend.
I am so sorry Jon and his girlfriend were in two accidents, but happy they are not terribly hurt. I love the aphan you are crocheting, and love, love, love the color (my colors too). Would you share the pattern? I also love the fabrics you found, especially on the left, can't wait to see what you do with it, a bag sounds wonderful! Doesn't moving furniture "help" to get it out! Take care.
I'm so sorry Penny. Two in one week. I bet they are hurting. We're they in the same car.
I hope you are okay.
I love the colors in the Afghan.
I hope this week goes better for all of you.
We still have some snow on the ground with more coming.

I feel so bad for Jon and his GF. I hope they are feeling better physically and mentally by now. I'm like you when I get nervous - I tend to putter around the house and move things around. Keeps your mind occupied, busy, and moving. If the weather was nicer, you could actually go outside and go for a walk! Your shawl is gorgeous...love the colors. I have two babies on the way (well, not ME, but in my life, lol)...one is a boy due any time now and the other a girl due in about 4 weeks. :-)
Poor kids . . . crazy, two accidents in one week. Not fair! Thankful they are okay but how shook up they must be!
I was worried about YOU . . . still am!
