Three Cheers for the Red, White & Blue!

What happened to June?  How in the world did we get to July?  I thought since we are having company for the 4th I'd decorate a little.  The inspiration, the fifty cent molded plastic American Eagle I found.
I pulled out a box and a bag.  All these small flags came from a rummage sale a few years ago, as did the
container they are in.
I hung the hearts I've been hanging for lo these many years.  Made them maybe 25/30 years ago.
Here's the genuine molded plastic eagle.
There is the molded plastic bust of Lincoln, and my cool new/old boater hat. The Statue of Liberty and the Liberty Bell also have a place on the mantle as does the key to Independence Hall.  I do love Independence Day.
It took a 87 degree day to get me to bake.  Do I buy one banana at a time?  I am so used to buying them by the bunch.
The house smelled so good and one guy was very happy he didn't eat his bananas until they were baked into these golden loaves.

A few more photos of my decorations and then out to the deck to prepare for our guests.  (No babygrand this holiday :-(

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy this beautiful day!

Happy Fourth. It's so much fun here on the 4th. Our village has a big celebration....rides,food,parades,fireworks.....it goes on for four days. You can't get through town. The kids love it. Hugs

Cute decorations! The 4th of July is one holiday I've never decorated for. I guess because we never do anything special that day. We'll be in WI that day up at the Bible Camp visiting with everyone...and when we get home later that night, Tim will be here for the weekend. :-)

We are just hanging out by ourselves so no real decorations here. There was a time when I'd place American flag bunting on the front of the house...but these days my décor has been pretty vanilla if you know what I mean. Love how that boater hat fits in beautifully with your 4th décor. Summertime and the livin' is easy!
