Deer Park Town Center aka The Fancy Pants Mall is just down the road from us.
For years I would hear fireworks in November and wonder...
Who the heck is having a fireworks display?
Now it is the fireworks show I love the best. Yes, better that any
Fourth of July show. No humidity, no bugs and no itch!
I also get to snuggle with my sweetie, and feel the explosions...
Up close, I tear up at the beauty of it.

Then part two of the festivities is walking the mall. Pottery Barn never fails to
awe. So many really cool accessories, displays and inspirations.

Also a chance to warm up. Ohhhh Baby, it was cold outside.
Toasty warm inside. Hubby chose a comfy chair and I
shopped, mostly for inspiration.
I like this jingle pillow. The calligraphy font is one
that I learned back in HS. Yes, Sister Anne...I remember.

Then the piece de resistance, yes, our brand new Paper Source is open!
As all the kids lined up to meet Santa, I headed over to this
awesome store. It was filled with families warming up and a
few paper fiends like myself. Oh, what I could do with a few hundred dollars
and some time to hang out. Ha!
The staff has so friendly, the products so numerous...
it was hard to keep my thrifty head on straight.
I did purchase a few things,
and I will show you them soon
and how I will use them.

great post. I am so excited about Christmas coming. I am a winter girl as well. I hate admitting that when my husband hates it because he has to drive in it everyday in the dark. I feel bad about that. Love the photos.

I think it's kinda cool that the fancy pants mall has fireworks in November. I'll have to take a stroll up there soon to ooh and aah over all the beautiful stuff. I have a particular fondness for Crate and Barrel at Christmas-time. They used to - back in the day - have the coolest, little wooden Christmas ornaments. I still have some of them. Now they're all plastic.
