Accidental Collection

I put this little vignette together..  Does this ever happen to you?  You are minding your own business and you see something pretty, perhaps a jar...next thing you know you have a new collection...what I call, an accidental collection.

I found these sweet Avon jars at different times.  Something about them
appealed to me.  Displayed on my $5 Pottery Barn tray along with my most precious of possessions,
my Mom's crochet hook in a beautiful handmade case.  The beautiful and talented Barb of Babs Just a Babblin made it for me a while back. Thanks my friend.

I added a crochet project and spool of yarn...lavender harvested from my own garden.

 Whoops, another collection!

Another thrift store find, a Pottery Barn clock.  All these items found over the course of a year, all fit together.

All on my Mom's desk.  Many memories here, sometimes when I open the drawer, I can almost smell the Cover Girl makeup Mom kept inside!

Thank you for all the kind comments and for stopping by to visit.  Batten down the hatches local girls, we're in for another snowstorm! Take care my friends and enjoy this beautiful day.

Have I told you lately, I love you guys!

I can so relate to accidental collections. Happens all the time around here! '-)
Lovely vignette. I also relate to savoring the precious treasures that once belonged to your mom. Sweet!

Love your accidental collection - the jars are beautiful! OK, my winter loving friend...are you tired of all this snow yet? You know what my answer is. ;-) A little side note...did you know if you bring in a bag of stuff to Goodwill for donation through the 7th that they'll give you a 30% off coupon? I need to get up there this week and do that. With feeling so cruddy though and then probably having to bring Zippo to the vet on Thurs or Friday, we'll see. And then you and I need to make a date! :-)
