puttering on a cold cold day...

I was just thinking how fortunate I am to have the time to putter.  So many of my friends work outside of the home, my SIL comes to mind. When she gets home from work or has a day off she takes care of her grand daughters. Not much down time for dear Elizabeth.  So today I putter with a grateful heart, with love on my mind and Valentine's Day.
I have a large container of  Valentine decorations, yet I didn't put up anything this year. Just moving around a few items. The heart pan recently thrifted, a heart ornament from Christmas...

Mikey's baby quilt...Some may know the story.  I started the quilt before he was born and finished it when he was 18!  Talk about procrastination!

Saw something today about a galvanized tray, so I got out mine...What's prettier than a collection of blue canning jars in the winter sun?

Somewhere Over the Rainbow just came on Pandora...by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole such a great version of a beautiful song.  My favorite version is by Tony Bennett from his album Tony Bennett Sings a String of Harold Arlen.  I've has this album in my life since I was 6 years old.  Reminds me of my Dad too.

Back to puttering, oh my, the theme from Forest Gump is playing... I'm gonna need a kleenex...

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments.  Enjoy this beautiful day!

xxoo Penny

I also love Israel's version of Somewhere over the Rainbow, too! Love that metal tray even more:)
I started a cross-stitch for my third baby and never finished it. Still feel bad about that.....glad you finished your blanket! Wish I could putter but things are keeping me too busy, shouldn't even be blogging, but pffft to that!

Thank goodness for puttering! Sometimes puttering gets in the way of my great intentions! Oh my, love Somewhere Over the Rainbow, be still my heart! Sure love your bottles and your tray is awesome!
