Midnight Crafting

We went for a walk, had some dinner, watched some TV. Learned about Indian marker trees...watched a scary Frontline, (aren't they all scary?) all the while I had a magazine on my lap. It is Christmas Ideas, a Better Homes and Gardens publication. It's filled with great ideas, free downloads and a bunch of inspiring decorating ideas. It's $5.99 price tag, was worth every penny. How many times have you bought a magazine, only to see the same old things, same ideas... This one is chock full of cool stuff.

When I could have been in bed, I was up crafting!  I couldn't wait till morning.
First I downloaded this Christmas graphic, and printed it onto iron on transfer paper. I had a presewn pillowcase (Target), plugged in my iron and voila! I printed a second transfer for another project.

I printed two wine bottle labels on matte photo paper, trimmed them and ran them through my zyron.

Ready for a quick gift or to spruce up a inexpensive wine bottle. (Trader Joe's!)

I took some photos from a project that was for glass tiles. I printed them on card stock, trimmed and scored them to look like they were framed. I used my glue gun to attach them to a grosgrain ribbon for a pretty accent, light enough to thumbtack to the wall. I also used the middle image and transferred it on a couple of flour sack towels.

I'd say I got my money's worth, wouldn't you? You can go to BHG.com/holidays and find these and many more great holiday ideas.

Entertaining my Guild this week, and making some changes around the house to welcome our guests at Thanksgiving.

May I come and spend a day with you so you can show me how to THAT? I don't even know what a zyron is?
