Look for me...

In the garden.  OM goodness, the weeds have taken over.  This little pretty was peeking out of the weeds, and I think you''ll see a pop can too. A little something left over from our Easter celebration.  I've been waiting for the rain to stop so I could get out and prepare our little garden that the Little Bird and I will be planting.  The last time I weeded was in March when we had some summer like temperatures.  Since then we've had cold and wet weather, and I've been busy with other projects.

Mother's Day is always planting day for me.  Also crying day.  I always start out Mother's Day with a trip to the cemetery, followed by a good old fashioned cry.  Then a trip to the local nursery for some plants and supplies. When the kids were young we always visited the Botanic Gardens on Mother's Day.  I guess I told somebody, and they told somebody and so on and so forth...  Now it's no pleasure fighting the crowds.  But I digress...
I worked for as long as I could yesterday, and made some progress.  When I could bend no more...

I picked up the crochet hook and finished a blanket for a small one I'll get to meet soon

and started one for our Guild project.

I even got in a little spray painting.  Now to sand and distress this lamp base.  Back outside for me!  Enjoy this beautiful day.

Just love the blankets. The one you gave JoJo is her favorite...and her mom's too! They love it. The pink one in the pic is awesome!
