Weekend Update/AKA The daylilies are blooming...

I know you're out there, and like me you have the summer, for lack of a better word,  blahs.
When the big story is the day lilies are blooming,
you don't have much to say.
I've noticed that the posts are few and far between in blog land.
How many more photos of flowers should I post
when the summer slows down
to a crawl?

With the help of my dearest we put this little project together.  My hands ached after fighting to hang the spoons from small key rings, only to find the photo that inspired the project and the spoons were hung from ribbon.  I hate when that happens!

All these spoons and the tray were thrifted.

Back to the day lilies...

Seriously, we had a relaxing long weekend...did a few chores, visited a single rummage sale, when to the last of the fireworks, (Don't go to a fireworks show with a 1 and 4 year old and expect to actually see fireworks, 6 adults and 2 kids and we adults were outnumbered!). Saturday we had our kids over for pizza. Sunday we hosted a birthday barbecue for the above said 4 year old who turned 5, (Yes our little bird turned 5!)
It was a small party compared to parties we've had for her in the past, but it was relaxed, or maybe I was relaxed. Now that I wrote it all down, I guess we were busier than I thought.

Oh yeah, we napped almost every day...

Summer, oh you make me feel lazy.

Hope all is well with you my friends.  I'll try to have more interesting content, but no promises ;-)
Thanks for stopping by... Enjoy this beautiful day.

Yep, I think people are in a summer funk.....it's either the temps or the rain. Here it is the rain. almost like in the winter when you get the winter blahs.
I used to have some day lilies and they no longer there. Not sure what happened.
I love the spoon idea. I bought a windchime that was made from an old spindle but that has about rotted away. Maybe I could do something like what you did.
Have a good week....don't worry, I am still around.

Happy you mentioned a "summer funk!" I think I was in one.. I went to the library and checked out five books, four more on a wait list. It lifted me right up as I got caught up in chapters of the lives of others . . . Now if the humidity would vanish . . . I would be over the moon!

Love your silver plate and spoon creation, sore fingers and all!
