Walking (Wo) Man

A recent walk around the neighborhood brought the song,  Walking Man, by James Taylor to mind...
and the verse that goes like this...
Well, the leaves have come to turning
And the goose has gone to fly

 And bridges are for burning
So don't you let that yearning
 Pass you by
 Walking man,
 walking man walks
Any other man stops and talks
But the walking man walks...

I've mentioned before that there is always a song in my head.  How about you?  Do you listen to seasonal music?  Might I suggest October Road,  by James Taylor, and Autumn by George Winston. October is the perfect time for any of the Winter Solstice compilations, by the Windham Hill Artists.  It's beautiful music that will get you ready for the holiday season.   While I'm making suggestions... Have you ever seen Andy Goldsworthy's River and Tides?  Andy is a artist/naturalist who collaborates with nature to make his creations. He uses leaves and twigs, rocks and icicles in his almost too beautiful to believe works of nature art.  I watch it every year around this time. It's probably available at your local library, it is at mine!  All perfect listening and viewing, on an October day.   Have a great weekend!
