For the third time in a week my sweet p. was back at he Doctors. Five days of a fever, vomiting, crying, sleeplessness...she was lethargic and scared me half to death. Yesterday 104.9! In the olden days my good old GP would give the kid some amoxicillin and call it a day. Well, not today. They did take a urine sample and Mom has to call in the morning for results! Maybe my memory is getting bad, but I don't ever remember any one of my kids running a high fever for 5 days! Maybe it 's one of those selective memory things.
Thank goodness, last night she played with me a little during our face time. I was so happy to see her tearing up Kris and Doug's mail. I said she could tear up my check book and drivers license, I was so relieved to see her up and playing. Kris and Doug earned their stripes these last few days. Grandma, more gray hairs, a few cups of tears and a house so clean it goes "bling"...
Meeting up with some blogging friends today...so excited. Pictures and stories, I'm sure there will be stories...coming soon.
Have a great day my friends, enjoy this beautiful day!
Love, Penny

I sooooooocan identify with you . . . 104.5, OMG . . . Give her some amoxicillin, (I think they have decided our kiddos received too much! Smile! )
We are here, getting ready to "meet up!".
I can't wait to see you . . . remember BIG hug!
Oh Penny, no wonder you were worried. My kids would run those really high temps. The doctors would get serious about it because they can go into seizures. Doctors are so slow to treat sometimes. It used to be temps over 101.....or a temp over 3 days. What have they decided she has. Glad she is a bit better. So sorry. Hope she is much better soon. (((((HUGS)))))
Penny, that is so frightening. Hopefully she is on the mend now. The flu bug has been vicious this year.
Have fun with you blogging friends. Look forward to some photos.
You poor dear! 5 days of a fever is just unheard of! I know they are being more careful these days but really? 5 days?
Sending you prayers!
Hi Penny,
It was great meeting you today at the Midwest Meet-Up. It was great to get to see the bloggers I feel I know so well in person. I hope your little sweet p is feeling better today. I can relate to your concern because I've already started worrying about my grandchild and he/she hasn't even been born yet!
Take care,
xo

It's me again! I forgot to thank you for the darling peat pot with sweet grass seeds I found in the swag bag! I can't wait to start the seed - I think it's going to be adorable!
