On a Rainy Day

Time to download my photos...my kiwi vine in all it's glory...

A pop of hosta with Queen Anne's Lace...
Alliums. My Mom had one giant Jewel of Tibet that grew year after year... These were at the local nursery.
As was this beautiful bush. Lynne or Cathy, what's it's name my gardening friends?
 Zinnias, in every color...
A wide selection right in town.
Finding out a secret... there are acres of landlocked land, just blocks from downtown. The only access is this bridge.
 Flowing water...
 Hidden paths...
I love discoveries like this.

I did some planting in pots, some repairs, some maintenance. I'll show you when the sun returns.  Perfect that the plants have a couple of rainy days to settle in, and I have a couple of days to rest the muscles I haven't used for a long while.

Enjoy this beautiful day.

I was so disappointed to wake up to rain today!! If only I had gotten more into the ground yesterday instead of in pots! Ha! I planted Allium last fall and was so happy to see it come up a few weeks ago, I had only seen pictures! And the flower you are asking about...it looks like a Lady Slipper, not positive.

Happy gardening!

XO,
Jane

Not sure about the flower . . . Is it a group of flowers, if so, kind of looks like Lupine. If it is a bush, I'm not sure?
