A rare Sunday report... Just had to share this photo of a beautiful cottonwood tree near the shores of Lake Michigan. There are only two huge trees left here at Gillson Park in Wilmette. Such a loss. When these trees are gone, it will take another hundred years to see the likes of them.
Lake Michigan, near sunset. The perfect time for a walk on the beach. Letting go of all your cares, embracing the serenity of the lapping waves. The perfect way to end a beautiful day.
This guy makes me so happy.
I like how it looks with all the botanical plates I collect.
My name is Penny, I sometimes pick other people's trash. I had my sweetheart STOP the car to pick this up. I picture it on my pantry... So, cool or crazy? What do you think?
Another beautiful day ahead, enjoy every minute!

Very sad about the cottonwood. I've never been near the shore as far up as you were, we go to Oak Street Beach a lot.
Love your beautiful china, I would choose florals over anything.
What a bargain on that door!!! ;-) I love it!!

Beautiful Cottonwood Tree . . .
I like that you and your sweetie walk the beach and enjoy the serenity together.
I think your pantry door idea is perfect! Photos please!
Love your floral plates - and your new teapot! The beach photo is so beautiful, too. I haven't been to that particular beach since I was a teenager. Memories! I *love* the door that you garbage-picked. Yes, I think it would be perfect as a pantry door! Great find!
I would have jumped on it, for just the same reason! xoKathy
